Reporters with integrity and balanced investigative skills have been actively hounded out of the MSM industry for years. This is clearly reflected in our current offerings.
Stuff, who will be our new "one source of truth" have been the worst at doing hit jobs on any journalist that stepped out of line and questioned the narrative. The money has come from somewhere, my bet is on an overseas funded left-wing political organisation looking for avenues to keep the propaganda machine rolling. The socialist movement is very well organised and funded worldwide but even they will be horrified at the shit show of politicians they have to try get elected in this country.

Has anyone worked out who owns Stuffed? Isn't there a great deal of subterfuge as to who the controlling interests are?

Yes but I suspect they must have some financial backers. I believe Boucher has stated that they have no debt yet I'm sure I have read that a security interest has been placed on the company.
The whole thing makes no sense. According to the latest trust survey, Stuff has a lower trust rating than Newshub so how the hell are they supposed to bring in more viewers?
The old saying, "rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic" springs to mind.

So, if you are friends with Sinead or Dale, and do loads of dodgy stuff, say as an MP, city councillor, or prominent business person, would any journo working for Sinead tell us all about it?

www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2024/04/this_could_explain_the_brickbat.htmlAhh, Te Media Parti, it's really hard to believe trust has dropped to 33%. This could explain the brickbat
Audrey Young writes: Brickbat Goes to Luke Somerville, spokesman for Renters United, for his wholly negative response to the pet bonds policy to encourage landlords to let tenants to have pets: “Every renter has a story about their landlord trying to charge them hundreds of dollars in rent for a mark on the wall. What’s to say we are not going to see more of that now?” (RNZ). Hey Luke, how about talking on behalf of the tenants who want pets?
It was such a totally negative response to a policy that so many renters are genuinely keen on, that it made me wonder whether the spokesman was a partisan operative. It turns out he was the campaign manager for Julie-Anne Genter. That would explain it. Perhaps the media should report this, when they quote him as a so called spokeperson for renters. The other spokesperson just got elected as a Green Councillor, so it would be interesting to know if there is anyone involved with Renters United who is not a Green Party operative. As their main policy is to bring back Muldoon style rent controls, I suspect not.

Over 50 compaints. Hard to believe trust is slipping. My 2p, keep up the good work Maiki! www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2024/05/tvnz_and_poll_results.htmlTVNZ and poll results The Herald reports: TVNZ says it is dealing with about 50 formal complaints over its coverage of the latest 1News-Verian political poll, with some viewers – as well as the Prime Minister and a former senior Labour MP – critical of the tone of the 6pm report. TVNZ political editor Maiki Sherman’s reporting of the poll results – all three parties that make up the coalition Government have lost support – was described by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon earlier today as “a little frothy and sensationalist”. Among various adjectives, metaphors and analysis, Sherman variously described a “nightmare” poll for the coalition that would “absolutely rock the entire Parliament”. … Former Labour MP Stuart Nash told Newstalk ZB’s Heather du Plessis-Allantoday: “I thought the TV One reporting on it was absolutely shocking, if I’m honest with you. “I thought the tone that they portrayed was the sort of tone you do three weeks out from an election, not two and a half years,” Nash said. It was more the sort of hype you would expect from Newshub that has a reputation for always being rather over the top, and did seem out of place on TVNZ which has tended to be more sober. But was this a one off, or is there a pattern with how they are reporting polls. Take this one on the Fast Track Bill: The actual result is 40% in favour and 41% against. To add together those against, those unsure and those who didn’t answer as 60% not in support is very misleading. They do it again in this article: In the 1News Verian Poll, voters were also asked: “Which of the party leaders do you think has the most influence on Government decisions?” Around 51% responded with the prime minister, while about 49% did not. That 49% is once again got to by including those who name another leader with those who were unsure. And now a third example: So in this case you actually have 52% who say the public sector cuts they support (agree or are too little) and only 35% say they are too much. That is actually a 17% difference but once again TVNZ adds in the 13% unsures to the anti Government option. So in all three reports, TVNZ has added ensures and refused to say, to try and make it look like there is greater opposition to the Government than there is. One poor framing could be bad luck. To do it three times, is a very very bad look.

Don't forget the green's golden rule "The usual rules and laws don't apply to them For they are better than everyone else!" as expressed by golritz and their welfare fraudster former leader Yet, they are 14% in the polls. There is something us lot on hear a clearly failing to understand about our fellow countrymen and support for the greens. Perhaps it is the 'any publicity is good publicity' mantra, so every month one of them deliberately does something mind-numbingly stupid to keep the media profile up?
