Running the country is all about having sound judgement. And what this episode represents to me is effectively a natural ‘weeding out’ of several people with poor judgement.

Agreed Fogg. Now NZ has to set about 'weeding out" the lot that need spraying with Roundup. Now they've introduced discrimination by colour except this time it's Red Amber and Green. This is/has really introduced discrimination and segregation down to family, friends and neighbours. I'm vaxxed but I'm understanding of those who aren't... they don't represent any real threat to me. Consequently I won't be presenting my Citizens ID card (Vax Cert )for admission to anywhere,so I guess I'll be classed as a nutter anti vaxxer. Big Brother/Sister has got us where they want us. Total control over where you go ,who with, and what you do.And tracked. All with the enthusiastic participation of the majority. 666 anyone ?

Yes I now have my double-vaxxed card in both my physical wallet and eWallet but there’s a bit of me that’s reluctant to pull it out on principle.

I might stop using the Covid tracer App too. It doesn’t seem to ever benefitted me except as a pre-vaccination ‘insurance policy’. And so I don’t know how it’s going to help me going forward. So on another point of principle I might stop using it or even delete it?

dont mention "fake scanning" you will start an online riot, oh that's right that was on the other forum.
They (the government) dont even seem to worry about it in Auckland anymore. As has been the case in other countries, it becomes unworkable. Imagine contact tracing everyone with the flu in NZ!

Stand by for National to appoint Brian Tamaki as their new leader. Evangelical Christian intent on empire building...

From some of what you guys have said I’m not sure that Luxon is the best choice for National, the country or even Luxon himself. Time will tell.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Bridges will get a senior Ministerial portfolio. I think Collins should be sacked though, as in 'retire' and not stand for Papakura again. Sort of like what she did to Nick Smith.

A friend tells me, when at Air NZ, he put a stop to booze at social functions... National probably needs a disciplinarian religious conservative to straighten out their internal problems, but I'm not sure that will be well received by the wider electorate. "Its God's will, or someone else's problem".

As I said before, running a country is a lot about sound judgement. But it’s worth adding that means sound judgement on behalf of the majority.
It’s also about knowing when & how to compromise - to progress past a potential impasse.
What worries me about what I’m hearing is that Luxon’s natural style doesn’t seem to be big on either compromise or acting in other people’s interests?

What worries me about what I’m hearing is that Luxon’s natural style doesn’t seem to be big on either compromise or acting in other people’s interests? Indeed. I think he will be very good at sorting out National. Strong, dictatorial and decisive leadership to sort out the dross, and place competent people in the correct positions. But this is classic private business attributes. Does that make for a good political leader? in the PM sense. More so in an MMP environment. There is some irony in what I am saying, in that I would appreciate some decisive leadership at the moment. But not if its bringing in prohibition and banning abortions.

Who else or what other combination option did they have. My pick is an ACT / National coalition at next election. This will be after Jacinderella acheives divine status and walks across the water to her new appointment running the UN. Hopefully soon. Seymour as PM with Luxon #2. This will come about as NZ does its usual thing and votes the CK (Cindy Kindy) out. This time they will be right. And NZ will be in such a social ,financial and political mess the CK will actually be very pleased to sit on the opposition benches. While the rest of us try and patch up the social and relationship destruction we have suffered. BTW I will be very very happy to be wrong on this last one.
