It’s a hard situation to read and even more unpredictable than the Ukraine - Russia war, with some very strange alliances emerging.
For example, China initially told the world they condemned the overall Israel - Palestine conflict situation (which is not a bad position to take).
Then the US told China “That’s not good enough.”
So the Chinese strengthened their statement to align with the US by saying they now condemn the Hamas attacks on Israel.
You could not make this up.

Listening to a lot calling Hummas terrorists and in the same breath praising the other muppets, the muppets who are using tanks to take out children FFS.
As much as I try I can't find any reason to think one side is any better than the other, both mobs are are murderous scum being directed by cowards and tossers.
Nuke the whole fucking area and remove the entire lot. Problem solved.

Not too happy about the Hamas attack, but not very happy about Israel's response either. Sort of reads like a planned genocide coming up. The US seems all for it, and supplying weapons to achieve it, thats enough to make you wonder. Condoning the retaliation, which appears to be effectively worse than the original terror, I feel is a little hypocritical. Seems to be another, "we will not allow peace, at any cost" sort of deal. There is no "right side" in this conflict. The US seems pretty intent on getting something started in the Middle East or Persia. They have never been known to show much compassion for the locals in the countries that they bring war to, and it is never for the "locals" benefit. Hope winnie gets that new oil refinery underway pronto.

I still can't work this out. Is Israel the aholes or is it Palestine? Everytime I have a suss I come away thinking each is bad as the other and can't see any discernable difference bar the level of weaponry each side has. Stay right out of it and let them get on with killing each other. Remember God loves them??

Iran supplies Russia with shahed drones plus some other bits and bobs and Russia is great mates with Syria and has personnel and gear there . So any excuse for the US to inflict some damage on those two will be taken up fairly quickly i imagine . as much as I don’t agree with the US I always remind myself they provide checks and balances ….NZ and Australia and SE Asia would be entirely different places right now if China had free reign . Our kindergarten sandpit election year shenanigans are embarrassing when put in context with world events at the moment .

I don't follow what's going on in the mad hatters sandpit, but just saw this. I wonder if they support the Iranian regime that sponsors Hamas but kills gays? (and women) They're looking more and more delusional by the day.

It's not my fault I attacked the hospital and killed all the kids. The other religious fundamentalists made me do it.

Journalist: Interrogations ongoing at al-Shifa Hospital Journalist Jihad Abu Shanab, who is inside the al-Shifa compound during Israel’s operation, tells Al Jazeera that people inside the compound are “scared, brutally interrogated, and they are humiliated.
“Since last night, it’s been a nightmare that cannot be imagined,” he said over the phone.
“Before storming the compound, they have targeted all the floors, the generators, the communications unit, and now we can have no contact with the outside world.”
He described utter chaos all night, with constant Israeli fire continuing until the morning, after which those inside the hospital discovered that Israeli forces had stormed the facility.
Now, he says, people inside are being harshly interrogated. “They have told everyone to go up a floor, then go to a lower floor for investigation and then they are forced to be interrogated and they have seen a lot of humiliation.”
“Eyewitnesses in the al-Shifa compound have said that there is no resistance at all whatsoever and the hospital only contains doctors and patients and displaced people,” he continued.

Rights group suggests ‘artificial scene’ may be being prepared Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has expressed fears people will be killed as sporadic gunfire continues to ring out inside the al-Shifa complex after it was stormed.
The Israeli army completely controls the scene inside the hospital without neutral observers, raising doubts about any story on alleged Hamas military activity that may be issued later, the group said.
The more time the army spends inside the complex means it could be “preparing an artificial scene”, the monitor said.

Gaza’s media office warns of Israeli ‘massacre’ at al-Shifa Hospital Gaza’s government media office has warned of a massacre at al-Shifa Hospital after Israeli army forces stormed the medical complex.
“The Israeli army raided the hospital despite the presence of nearly 9,000 medical staff, patients, and displaced people inside the complex,” it said in a statement, calling Israel’s actions “a war crime and a crime against humanity”.
The media office held Israel, the US and the international community “fully responsible for the safety of thousands of people inside the facility”.

Militarily, the Religious Fundamentalists have only managed to rescue one hostage after 5 weeks. But in the mean time they've killed 11,320 locals. That is a lot of dead people to rescue one hostage. That includes killing 4,650 kids. Kids that couldn't leave, because Gaza is an open prison. They've bombed and destroyed something like 60% of the homes in Gaza. I wonder how many of the hostages have been killed by their own bombs? Noting that the Palestinians are not Hamas. Hamas took control by a week long gun battle against Fatah. Israel killing so many Palestinians because of what Hamas did is equivalent to napalming the North Shore because Brain Tamaki did something stupid. And the US are looking increasingly impotent in trying to get Israel to comply with basic Geneva convention laws. Collective punishment, starving a whole population. Cutting off drinking water. Killing innocent bystanders in the 10's of 1,000's. Now attacking hospitals. Interrogating patients and Doctors. Israel has gone mad. It is run by genocidal maniacs.

says Gazas media office.......................... So are you saying all the dead kids are fake news? RNZ has this story. Aussie boss of Medicines without Borders says no evidence that hospital is used as a military base: MSF Australia president Katrina Penney said members had been providing medical support at the facility for decades. "And certainly we've been hearing lots of testimonials that in the past month of the intense conflict we have seen no evidence that the hospital buildings or the compounds are being used by Hamas as a military base. "In fact to the contrary; the hospital facilities have been trying to treat patients and trying to shelter civilians and their families at levels far beyond their capacity ..." www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/502561/al-shifa-doctors-group-rejects-israeli-evidence-of-hamas-activities-at-gaza-s-main-hospitalNoting that the Religious Fundamentalists (Israel) has assassinated any journalist that says anything bad about them. Refer Shireen Abu Akleh. In the first 3 weeks they managed to kill 23 other journos. So yeah, you can try and deny the Religious Fundamentalists are pummelling Gaza, one of the most densely populated places on earth, and where no-one is allowed to leave. You can day dream that they are only killing the terrorists and that the 11,000 dead is fake news, but some facts are undeniable. Funny how you are going for the fake news angle and not trying to morally justify what the Religious Fundamentalists are doing to women and children.

I'm sorry Dutyfree, but this is laughable. You are referencing an opinion based website that's express purpose was set up for the defense of Israel, as some kind of justification for what? Surely you are not as easily led as that?
