That is exactly what I saw on X, up to the minute news on the trump shooting. No room for lies and bullshit called out as it happened.
If something is going down around the world the place you are most likely to get the real story as it happens is X.
It's also pretty good place to read about NZ issues too.
Everyone gets to have a say, if your claims are lies and you can't back them up it will get called out.
Every now and then the story makes it to MSM, usually a few days later with a good amount of spin.
The trump shooting and ongoing story has been a big wake up to what we have been missing from our trusted news sources for too long.

OK so riddle me this then - how come X is so much better than MSM journalism if the largest % of X users are journalists???
How come the same people are heroes of the truth on platform X but devils of spin on platforms Y, Z etc?!!!
Note: 25 % of Twitter / X users are journalists because it was originally set up as a journos platform.

The exact numbers are always going to be hard to land - pick whatever % and source you want to - but the key point you are missing is that X is a journalist-centric platform that is use mostly by journalists for journalists.
And they are the same people who work in MSM not some different population of people living on planet ‘truth’.
So why the disconnect?

Met up with my old boss. A very successful kiwi now living in UK. He now hates NZ in all its forms and has migrated his family away.
And he’s deleted all his NZ news apps.

Trump and Biden supporters are the same as Green supporters and the rainbow people who support Hamas, they all must have very 'special' thought processes.
But then can you blame them? For my entire life I have been told 'I have to vote both for democracies sake and if I'd like to bitch about pollies'. Now I've had time to think that through and in the days we live in context, that is 100% total bollocks. Sadly it is very easy to see many, far far too many, have yet to realise that so they are left thinking they have no option but to support either Trump or Biden, to use the US as an example, so get on into it. You see the same in NZ, Aussie even the last few weeks in the UK. I think its more a case of don't blame the players blame the game or increasingly in todays times, blame the voters themselves for allowing this shit to happen.
